Standard singles horseshoes.
Horseshoes is an outdoor pitching game played singles or doubles. Players throw horseshoes at a stake and score for ringers and close shoes, usually with cancellation scoring.
Set two stakes in opposite pits and pitch from the agreed foul line. In singles, each player pitches two shoes toward the same stake, then the inning is scored. In doubles, partners stand at opposite ends and alternate. After scoring, players pitch back toward the other stake. Continue until a side reaches the target score under the table's scoring rules.
