Where it misleads
Third of four and third of ten both read as 3. If field sizes vary, use Average Percentile instead.
How it works
Average Placement calculates your mean finish position across all matches. A player averaging 2.0 consistently finishes near the top.
How it works: Sum all your placements and divide by matches played. In a session where you finished 1st, 3rd, 2nd, and 1st, your average is (1+3+2+1)/4 = 1.75.
When to use it: One of the most balanced and easy-to-understand ranking methods. It treats every match equally and gives a clear picture of typical performance. Lower scores are better.
Watch out for: Variable field sizes can skew results. Finishing 3rd out of 4 players is different from finishing 3rd out of 10, but both show as "3" in the average. Use Average Percentile if field sizes vary.
