How it works
Win/Loss/Draw Record is the most fundamental standings system. It tracks total wins, losses, and draws as separate counts, ranking primarily by wins.
How it works: Every match outcome (win/loss/draw) is tallied. Rankings are sorted by wins first, with draws and losses as tiebreakers. It's the foundation of every sports league table.
When to use it: For any competitive context where you want simple, transparent standings. It's universally understood and requires no explanation.
Watch out for: Doesn't account for schedule difficulty or number of games played. A player with 10 wins in 10 games ranks the same as one with 10 wins in 100 games.
