How it works
Games Played is the simplest participation metric: a raw count of how many matches a player has participated in. No performance weighting, no normalization -- just attendance.
How it works: Count every match the player has participated in. The player with the most matches leads the standings. That's it.
When to use it: For groups where showing up is valued. It's the dedication metric — who's the most committed member of the game night crew? Works as a great secondary stat alongside performance rankings. Especially useful for larger groups where participation varies widely.
Watch out for: Obviously says nothing about skill — the player with the most games could also have the worst win rate. That's the point: it measures commitment, not ability. Best used alongside a performance ranking to get the full picture. Consider it the "iron man" award.
