Podium Rate

The share of your matches that ended in the top three, rather than the raw count.

Best at

Comparing people who have played very different numbers of matches.

Where it misleads

In a three or four-player field almost everyone podiums, so it stops telling them apart.

How it works

Podium Rate measures the percentage of matches where a player finishes in the top 3. It normalizes podium performance by participation.

How it works: Count the number of matches where you finished 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, then divide by total matches played.

When to use it: When you want to compare players who have played different numbers of matches fairly. A player who podiums in 8 out of 10 games is ranked higher than one who podiums in 10 out of 20.

Watch out for: In small fields (3-4 players), almost everyone finishes in the top 3, making the metric less discriminating.
