Best at

Big groups, where finishing consistently above average is the real competition.

Where it misleads

In a duel, top half just means winning, so it repeats Win Percentage.

How it works

Top Half Rate measures what percentage of your matches you finish in the upper half of the field. It's a broader measure of competitiveness than podium rate.

How it works: In an 8-player match, finishing 1st through 4th counts as "top half." Your rate is top-half finishes divided by total matches.

When to use it: Great for large free-for-all groups (6+ players) where even finishing in the middle is an achievement. It gives credit to consistent above-average performance without requiring wins.

Watch out for: In 2-player games, top half means winning, making this identical to win percentage. Only meaningful with 4+ players per match.
